Martinsville Speedway collects toys for Grace Network

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) Toys are still coming in at the Martinsville Speedway, even though the annual toy drive was cancelled over the weekend.

Hundreds of toys are being donated so the Grace Network can deliver them to children in need.

The Speedway is collecting new, unwrapped toys, or ten dollars through Friday.

They have been doing this collection for 24 years.

"They (Grace Network) identify the kids and we collect the toys and make sure they get in the right hands, so it's just something that we do every year to try to spread some Christmas cheer and really make kids smile on Christmas morning," says Martinsville Speedway spokesman, Brooks Taylor.

You can stop by and donate and you can even drive your own car around the track as a 'thank you' for helping out.
