Martinsville man arrested in connection to Collinsville larceny

HENRY CO., Va. (WDBJ7) A Martinsville man was arrested in connection to a larceny in Collinsville, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.

The larceny happened Dec. 29 in the 2000 block of Virginia Avenue in Collinsville. Investigators say William Martin III, 28, of Martinsville stole a 9 mm pistol. After the theft, Martin pointed the pistol at a man. Martin also made threats toward law enforcement.

Arrest warrants were issued Dec. 29 for Martin for one felony count of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, one felony count of larceny of a firearm and one misdemeanor count of brandishing a firearm.

Martin was found on Dec. 31 in Martinsville and was taken into custody. He is being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.
