Martinsville man arrested in connection with narcotics trafficking

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A Martinsville man was arrested in connection with narcotics trafficking, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Bobby Carter, 32, was charged with two counts of possessing a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II drug, two counts of possessing a firearm by a convicted violent felon and one count of possessing schedule I or II drugs. All charges are felonies. Carter is being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

Deputies executed a search warrant in connection with narcotics trafficking Thursday. Cash, firearms, narcotics and vehicles were taken from a residence in the 100 block of Berry Hill Court in Martinsville.
