PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) Calling all book lovers: you have a new place to dive in to your favorite novel at a brand new library in Pittsylvania County.

The new Mount Hermon Library opened its doors Monday.

The library director says this location is much bigger, and better, than the previous one.

There's more space for people to relax and read, and there's more computers for members to use.

"More space for some new collections, so we have some large print and audio books that we didn't have space for before, and we also have room for more programming and jus reading and enjoyment of the library," says PIttsylvania County Public Library Director, Lisa Tuite.

The library will also have expanded hours, being open 52 hours a week.

The new location is at 4058 Franklin Turnpike.
