LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ) The Lexington and Buena Vista Association of Realtors cut the ribbon on a very small piece of real estate.
A small plaque honors the fact that the association paid for a bench to be installed next to where the Lexington Carriage rides begin, so that anyone waiting their turn will now have a place to sit.
“It’s a nice little bench," says Rick Alford of the Association of Realtors. "It was not inexpensive, but we wanted to make something that would be here long after people like myself are no longer working here in real estate.”
The bench is also part of a more general effort by the chamber of commerce to add resting places around downtown Lexington.
