Police in search of two after Lynchburg bank robbery

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Lynchburg Police say they need help finding two people in connection to a robbery at a Carter Bank and Trust.

In a statement police say they responded to 3515 Campbell Avenue around 9 p.m. Wednesday night for a reported robbery.

Police say as a bank employee was getting into his car two men came up to him, pointed a gun and demanded cash.

The men then ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the scene, according to officers.

Police say they are looking for a black male in his early 20's, approximately 6'2" and 180 pounds, and a black male in his early 20's, approximately 6'0" and 160 pounds.

Police did not share a description of the vehicle involved in the incident.
