UPDATE: Teen charged in fatal shooting in Danville

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE:

According to the Danville Police Department, a 17-year-old male has been charged in the fatal shooting of Patrick Andreaus Gunn.

The teen, who's name is not being released due to his age, has been charged with First Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

He is being held in W.W. Moore Jr. Juvenile Detention.

Police are not seeking any more suspects in relation to the shooting.

UPDATE:

According to the Danville Police Department, Patrick Andreaus Gunn, 21, of Danville, was fatally shot Friday night.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Danville Police are investigating a homicide after finding a dead body in a car Friday night.

Police responded around 7:45 p.m. to the 700 block of Paxton Street in reference to a person being shot.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased black male with gunshot wounds in the drivers seat of a vehicle parked on the street.
