UPDATE: Police discover 14-year-old shot in Danville home

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE

The Danville Police responded to the 100 block of Lynndale Drive Wednesday evening for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived on scene they discovered the residence of the 100 block had been shot.

The 14-year-old male suffered from a gunshot wound to his forearms and was transported to SOVAH Health Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident at this time.

Danville Police are investigating a shooting near Lynndale Dr. that occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Police say one person was injured and was taken to SOVAH Health-Danville for treatment.
