Police search for stolen vehicle in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va (WDBJ) The Lynchburg Police Department need your help in finding a vehicle that was reported stolen.

Police say the car was stolen early Monday morning from the 2500 block of Rivermont Ave.

The vehicle is a 2009 Chevrolet Impala four door, dark brown with a Virginia license plate: 5968UV.

The license plate is a University of Virginia plate with an orange "V" on it.

Please note that the vehicle pictured is not the actual vehicle that was reported stolen, but looks similar.

Officials say that the vehicle was carrying a set of golf clubs.

The golf bag is described as red and black Titech, which contained a Titech set of irons, a Taylor Made Burner driver and a ping putter.

Anyone with information on this vehicle should contact police.
