UPDATE: Amber Alert terminated for missing baby from Hampton

The Amber Alert issued for Chloe Johnson was terminated Thursday night at 10:12 p.m.

According to Virginia Amber Alert's website, Virginia has no alerts at this time.

Virginia State Police say the alert was terminated in accordance with Amber Alert policy. Standard procedures for a Virginia AMBER Alert dictate a 12-hour activation period, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

The alert for Chloe Johnson was issued May 11. The alert was canceled Thursday, exactly a week later.


Police say that the car connected to a missing mother and baby has been found, according to Virginia State Police.

Police located the black 2013 Kia Optima with the Virginia license plate VAW-2197.

The missing baby and her mother were not found and should still be considered missing and endangered.


Virginia State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing baby Thursday evening.

Hampton police are searching for Chloe Johnson, a black female baby. She was reported missing on April 30. The baby is under a year old, and has brown eyes and black hair. She is 2-foot-5 and weighs 20 pounds.

The baby is believed to be in extreme danger and was last seen at 1900 Hastings Avenue in Hampton. Also missing and possibly abducted is the baby’s mother, Keir Johnson. The mother is 34 years old who was last seen wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt and glasses.

Police say the baby is likely abducted by a woman. The woman and baby may be traveling in a 2013 black Kia Optima with Virginia license plate VAW2197.
