Radford City Police investigating hit-and-run incident

RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Radford City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian, according to a release from the City of Radford.

According to the release, police received a call at about 6:20 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 of a pedestrian being struck in the crosswalk at Walker Drive and Reese Goldsmith Circle.

The victim is a 16-year-old female. She was later transported to the hospital, according to the release.

Authorities believe the vehicle involved in the incident is a Chevrolet S-10, dark in color.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
