LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) You may see a lot of "hogs" in parts of our region this week.

The Virginia Harley Owners Group, or "H.O.G." is holding its 2016 rally in Lynchburg.

The event has brought around 1,400 people and their bikes to Central Virginia. They'll be riding to points of interest like the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appomattox Court House. On Thursday morning a few stopped to lay a wreath at the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford.

The rally is a chance for Harley owners to network and bond over the motorcycle they love.

"The Harley Owners Group is a family," said rally coordinator, Mark Mulvaney. "No matter where you're located, we're all family members. When people see each other here, they all know they have at least one thing in common and that is the best-made motorcycle in America."

The rally runs through Saturday. You'll find most of the "hogs" in and around downtown Lynchburg.
