Radford Police make arrest in robbery

RADFORD (WDBJ7) -- Radford Police were contacted by a 42-year-old male reporting that he had been beaten and robbed in the 200 block of Heather Glen Drive in Radford at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the victim was robbed of his wallet, ID cards, credit cards and $150 in cash after responding to a social media advertisement that solicited sex.

No weapons were involved in the offense but the victim suffered facial injuries during the robbery requiring medical treatment.

After further investigation, police arrested Lorenzo Clements, 33, of Shipman, Va.

Clements has been charged with one count of robbery and jailed without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.
