Church members celebrated 100 years since the ground breaking of the Franklin Ave building on Sunday.

"The church was built at a time of great anxiety and concern and one of the things I talked about in my sermon was how this can be an age of uncertainty to and this church that stood as a symbol of courage then can stand as a symbol of courage now," Alexander D. MacPhail of Christ Episcopal Church said.

The church will celebrate all year long to mark this milestone in the their history.
