ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) Some people used Saturday's gorgeous weather to put the kickstands up, all in honor of our colleagues, Alison Parker and Adam Ward.

The Star City Riders Motorcycle Club held its second Alison and Adam Memorial Ride Saturday afternoon. About 75 riders came out for food, fun and of course some good riding.

The group does charity rides throughout the year, but they say this one holds a special place in their hearts.

"We're here to bring awareness to Alison and Adam because everybody deserves to be remembered and they were good people and didn't deserve what happened to them," /Star City Riders MC Public Relations Officer Jarrett Womack said. "It was a really big incident and it was just a really horrible, evil thing to happen."

Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between Adam and Alison's scholarship funds. No official total yet, but last year the group raised $4,500.
