ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE:
Tina Stevens has been booked into the Roanoke City Jail, charged with first degree murder. She is being held without bond.
A grand jury has indicted Tina Stevens on a murder charge in connection with the homicide of Brandon Mulhauser.
In newly filed court documents, Stevens admitted to police that she caused the injury which resulted in Mulhauser's death.
Police are investigating a homicide that happened in Southeast Roanoke Tuesday night.
Just before 8 p.m., police responded to the intersection of 8th Street SE and Dale Avenue SE in response to a man with a wound to his neck. Witnessed told police that the man was wandering around the intersection. Police say someone drove the man to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Officers then went to the hospital to find 37-year-old Brandon Mulhauser of Roanoke with a stab wound to his neck. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say Mulhauser's death was a homicide. A suspect who was involved in an altercation with Mulheuser before the 911 calls has been identified; the person is an acquaintance of Mulheuser.
No charges have been made.
