ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) Children's Trust Roanoke Valley works to prevent child abuse and neglect, and in general, make life safer for kids in our hometowns.

Christina Rouse of Children's Trust Roanoke Valley previews Saturday's fun run to benefit the organization.

On Saturday, July 23, the organization will host its first ever Rolling of the Bulls event.

It will be a fun run, inspired by Spain's Running of the Bulls.

The race will start at 11:00 a.m. July 23 at Christ Lutheran at the corner of Brandon and Grandin Roads in Roanoke.

The "Bulls" are the Star City Roller Derby Girls. They will chase runners down Grandin Road, ending in Grandin Village.

Registered Runners will receive: a free bandana, free admission to Chillage, chances to dunk the bulls in the dunking tank.

After the race you can enjoy a kids zone with free ice cream, bouncy house, pony rides, and more.

There will also be Spanish dancing by members of the Roanoke Ballet Theatre and SalsaNoke.

Historic Grandin's Summer Concert Series, Chillage begins at 1:00 p.m. with food, drinks and music by the Mad Iguanas.
