Santa pays a visit to Lynchburg newborns

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Imagine being welcomed into the world by the big guy himself, Santa Claus.

Meet Landon Weihracuh-Ernest. He is just two days old and today he got to meet Santa.

It's part of a program for patients in the Mother, Baby Unit at Centra's Virginia Baptist Hospital.

"This whole experience has been happy. From the birth, to meeting Santa," aid Tony Weihrauch-Ernest, first time father.
"He gives joy to me," said Santa.

The idea is to bring holiday cheer to the families in the hospital. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting parents and their newborns at the Lynchburg based hospital every Thursday until Christmas.
