UPDATE: School bus involved in crash in Christiansburg

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A Montgomery County school bus was involved in a crash in Christiansburg Thursday afternoon. No students were hurt, though the driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital.

A school official says the bus was rear-ended when it stopped at a railroad crossing on North Franklin Street. The eight students from Christiansburg High School and four adults on board were not hurt and were moved to another bus. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital according to a town spokesperson.

As of 1:00 p.m. traffic on North Franklin Street was snarled near the entrance to the Christiansburg bypass.
