ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) - Next month, you can raise a cold one to Roanoke's newest brewery.
Starr Hill's pilot brewery is under construction on Old Whitemore Avenue between Starbucks and Moe's.
Allie Hochman with Starr Hill said Friday they will brew on site and most of what's on tap will be exclusive to Roanoke.
Brewers say they chose this location because Roanoke is craft beer friendly, it's close to a large hospital hub and has easy access to and from the interstate.
Hochman said they are aiming to employ between 10 and 20 people and are accepting applications for part time bartenders.
Hochman said they plan to host food trucks on the weekends and live music several times a week. She said they are also planning to host charitable events regularly.
Doors open with a special event on September 16.
