State police say excessive speed was a factor in crash that killed two teenagers last month in Halifax County

HALIFAX CO., Va. (WDBJ7) Virginia State Police have released more information about the accident that killed two teenagers from Halifax County last month.

Troopers say excessive speed was a factor in the crash. Additionally, investigators say 16-year-old Casey Pulliam was the driver.

Pulliam and 16-year-old Olivia Noblin died in the accident. A third person in the vehicle, a 16-year-old boy, was seriously hurt. He has been released from the hospital.

The accident happened on Dec. 22 on Bethel Road in Halifax County, about a mile east of Route 626.
