UPDATE: Radford man charged in armed robbery in Christiansburg

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va (WDBJ7) UPDATE:

Police have charged Terrell Dobbins of Radford in connection to an armed robbery at a Check Into Cash in Christiansburg.

He is being held without bond.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Christiansburg police have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery.

The call came in just after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

The suspect apparently walked into the Check Into Cash on Marshall Street with a knife and demanded money.

The suspect then drove off with cash.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

Police then started a search for the suspect.

A Montgomery County deputy spotted the subject's car in the Plum Creek area, and pursued it.

The deputy later called of the pursuit because of safety concerns.

A second deputy spotted the suspect shortly after at a Radford apartment complex.

He ran away but was ultimately arrested about an hour later, around 6:00 p.m., in Radford.

The suspect has not been named at this time, as charges are still pending.

No other information is being released right now.
