Ironheart Evolution Studio in Salem collected more than $6,000 worth of toys through a promotion that started in November and ended on Tuesday. Customers were encouraged to bring in a toy. In return, they'd receive a tattoo gift certificate worth double the value of the price of the toy.

On Wednesday, tattoo artists dropped off the toys to Carilion Children's Hospital.

"We are all super excited, holding back the tears of joy. We cried it all out last night, it was really fun and we're ready to work now. It's definitely been a fun experience, looking forward to next year," Ray Aloy of Ironheart Evolution Studios said.

The shop also donated toys to the Roanoke Rescue Mission.
