BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) More than 2,400 Hokies celebrated their achievements Thursday at Virginia Tech during the university's winter commencement.

They were all cheered on by thousands of family members and friends in Cassell Coliseum.

Two ceremonies were held there for graduate and undergraduate students.

Graduates like Jordan Spraker are now preparing for life after college.

"I'm very excited. Kind of nervous for the real world. But very excited. Ready to be done. I'm going to Disney World," Spraker said.

Speakers at the graduation ceremonies are current professors at Virginia Tech.

They encouraged students to pursue their dreams while explaining the realities of the job market.
