Thursday Night Football preview: Texans at Patriots

Who will quarterback the New England Patriots tonight against Houston? We know it won't be Tom Brady, as he sits out the third of the four games he was suspended for because of his part in "Deflategate."

What we don't know is whether his backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, will be ready. After leading the Patriots to wins in their first two games he is questionable because of a shoulder injury he suffered against Miami last Sunday.

The game is at 8:25 p.m. Thursday on WDBJ7. Pre-game coverage begins at 7:30 p.m.

If Garoppolo can't play, wide receiver Julian Edelman will back up Jacoby Brissett. If Brissett starts, it would be first time New England has started rookie QB since Drew Bledsoe in 1993.

Like the Patriots, the Texans enter tonight's game unbeaten in two outings. These teams met last December with New England prevailing 27-6.
