BEDFORD COUNTY, Va (WDBJ7) Two men charged in the murder of Lynchburg teen Raymond Wood appeared in court for a hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Both Victor Rodas and Lisandro Vasquez were formally arraigned in Bedford Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

They were arraigned via video conference from the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. Both men required the use of a Spanish interpreter.

Rodas and Vasquez received court-appointed counsel. But, their attorneys will not be public defenders. That's because that office is already representing a third man charged in the murder: Jose Correas-Ventura.

Rodas did indicate in court that he may be able to afford his own attorney, but until he proves that he will be represented by a court-appointed attorney.

All three defendants in the Raymond Wood case are scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Bedford Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on June 13th at 1:00 p.m.
