Two men arrested on drug charges in Amherst County

AMHERST CO., Va. (WDBJ7) -- Two men have been arrested on multiple drug charges in Amherst County Tuesday.

According to the Amherst County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to 114 Stumps Hill in Madison Heights after receiving a report of suspicious activity.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they investigated and discovered several ounces of marijuana, methamphetamine, hashish oils, firearms and $9,400 in U.S. currency, according to Amherst County deputies.

Earnest Cash, 22, of Madison Heights was arrested and charged with distribution of schedule I or II, distribution of marijuana, possession of a firearm in possession of schedule I or II, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Bradley Cash, 21, of Madison Heights was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I or II, distribution of marijuana and possession of a firearm in possession of schedule I or II.

According to the Amherst County Sheriff's Office, both men were taken to the Amherst Adult Detention Center and are being held without bond.
