BOTETOURT Co., Va. (WDBJ7) -
State Police say that evidence investigated at the scene of a hit and run show that the vehicle that fled is a General Motors product; 2012-2014 truck or SUV.
A woman is in critical condition after a hit and run in Botetourt County.
State Police reported that a female, identified as Joyce Bandy Moxley, 55, of Roanoke, was walking along Route 11 yesterday when she was struck by a vehicle.
Crews arrived at the scene at around 5 a.m. and found Moxley unresponsive.
State Police say that Moxley has been transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Troopers say the vehicle was traveling southbound when it crashed into the pedestrian.
The driver then left the scene.
Investigators believe the vehicle that left the scene will be a General Motors product truck or SUV, and may have damage on the right side front and mirror. The damage may include the headlight, marker light, right front fender and passenger mirror.
