VT linebacker indefinitely suspended after arrest

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) - According to a source within the athletics department, Virginia Tech linebacker, Tavante Beckett, has been indefinitely suspended.

Online records show that Beckett was arrested on Monday and is charged for possession of marijuana and the conspiracy to sale and distribute Marijuana.

The Sophmore from Chesapeake Bay, Va will have his court hearing on September 22 at 8:30 a.m. at the Montgomery General District Court.

Possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor and the conspiracy to sale and distribute is a class 5 felony.
