HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Virginia State Police say one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Henry County.
Police say the crash occurred at 4:13 p.m. on Dec. 17 on Route 58 at its intersection with Route 687 in Henry County.
According to State Police, a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis failed to yield the right-of-way while turning onto Route 58 from Route 687 and was struck by a 1999 Plymouth Neon traveling west on Route 58.
The 2001 Mercury was driven by Sammie Warren Mills, 81, of Martinsville, Va. Mills was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries, according to State Police.
The crash remains under investigation.
