Virginia Tech assistant basketball coach Isaac Chew leaving for Texas A&M

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Virginia Tech basketball coach Buzz Williams is losing one of his assistant coaches to Texas A&M. Isaac Chew is headed to College Station after two seasons in Blacksburg.

Chew, a Chicago area native, was a top recruiter for the Hokies during his time at Tech. He previously worked for Coach Buzz Williams at Marquette from 2012 till 2014, and spent a year at Missouri before that, helping to coach the Tigers to a Big 12 tournament title.

Chew worked with A&M head coach Billy Kennedy, as an assistant coach at Murray State in 2007, where he spent four seasons with the Racers.
