Virginia Tech master plan looks to improve campus connectivity

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) Virginia Tech's Master Plan includes ways to improve accessibility to pedestrians.

One concept is called the Infinite Loop. The 2-point-one mile pathway would circle the campus and link the academic, research, and residential districts together. Perry Street would be a main part of the loop. The University's architect says connecting the campus will improve student experience.

"It goes to academic success, as well as something we call productive collisions, wherein you have the opportunity for people who don't normally mix, that they can then come together," Liza Morris said.

The Infinite Loop is still in the planning phase. A completion date has not yet been set.
