Hurricane Florence is threatening millions of Americans in the southeast, as FEMA warns that this is a very dangerous storm. After it makes landfall, it's expected to slow down significantly and bring heavy rainfall.
Last minute preps as we begin to feel the first effects of Florence in Wilmington. Downtown, many businesses are boarded up-- some better than others this tape and garbage bags covering these windows likely will not stand up with to a storm. But people here are ready.

More than a million people in three states have been told to evacuate as Hurricane Florence pushes closer to land.
First responders around the country are making their way to Wrightsville Beach. Many coastal towns have already instituted mandatory evacuation orders.
