Wood Brothers Racing to use Virginia Tech paint scheme for Bristol, Martinsville races

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Wood Brothers Racing will use a Virginia Tech paint scheme for upcoming races at Bristol Motor Speedway and Martinsville Speedway.

The paint scheme was unveiled Monday at Virginia Tech.

Ryan Blaney will drive the Virginia Tech-themed car Saturday at Bristol and on Oct. 30 at Martinsville.

Clark Ruhland, a Virginia Tech graduate and City of Salem employee, created the design scheme for the car, fire suit, helmet, and crew uniforms.

The Wood Brothers are based in Stuart. Several of their family members have graduated from Virginia Tech.
