Abington at Northside

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Abingdon and Northside have become familiar playoff foes, meeting in round one last year and again tonight at Jim Hickam Field.

Scott Fisher's team locked up in a defensive struggle.

The Vikings took the early lead as Princton Hall gets the call on the delayed handoff. He scoots through a hole and dances 42 yards to the endzone and Northside was on top 7-nothing.

Later, the Vikes faced a 3rd and 38 after three penalites backed them up from the 15. Hall gets 26 of those yards back but they had to settle for a field goal try.

And Abingdon makes a play, blocking the kick to end the Northside threat.

The defenses dominated from there. Trevor Johnson and the Viking 'd' had five first half sacks including this one on Gabe Boothe.

Northside went on to beat Abingdon 7 to nothing the final.
