Blacksburg at Phoebus

HAMPTON, Va. (WDBJ7) In the other half of the 3A semifinals, Blacksburg went on the road to the other side of the state at Phoebus Saturday.

The Phantoms were on the move, but Jordan Shockley put an end to that. He picked off Izaiah McNair to keep Phoebus off the board, getting a nice return inside the 10.

The Bruins also went to work on offense. Grant Johnston found Coleton Beck for a touchdown. Blacksburg went up 10-0.

How about some more Beck? Coming in clutch on 4th and 1, he was able to get that one yard and a whole lot more, breaking through for another touchdown. Beck made it a 17- 0 lead for the visiting Bruins.

The Bruins continue to add to that lead when Johnston went to the air again, putting it up for Tiquest Terry for the score.

Blacksburg is onto the state title game with the 26-12 win over Phoebus. And that means that we've got an all-local 3A title game next week with Staunton River and Blacksburg playing each other in the championship.
