The Christiansburg Blue Demons went an uncharacteristic 2-8 last season.
If there was a silver lining though, it was the fact that 5 of the 8 losses for Tim Cromer's team came by a touchdown or less.
"We're not going to dwell on that," Cromer said. "You know, 15 minutes is in the past, so certainly, six months ago is in the past. Basically, sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. So when we weren't winning, we needed to learn from that. So this year, it's up to us to make sure that we put them in the position to be able to execute in close games."
Christiansburg starts off the year with two tough road matchups at Giles, and then at Abingdon. While the Blue Demons don't boast a ton of returning experience, the team's open week falls on the first week of the year, giving them an extra week to prepare for the season.
