ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Lord Botetourt's Hannah Mundy signed to play softball at Longwood in the Big South for Coach Kathy Riley.

The outfielder and first baseman was the Conference 31 Player of the Year last spring and she committed to the Lancers' program following her freshman year.

"This has been a long time coming. I've wanted to go to Longwood ever since I got to high school. This is the day. I'm finally gonna be able to say that I'm a Lancer. It's not just a verbal anymore. It's on paper and this is what I'm going to do for the next four years after high school and I couldn't be more excited," stated Mundy.

Another signing took place at Cave Spring today.

Emma Muzzy inked to swim at NC State for the Wolfpack, while Brooke Leftwich will join the diving team at Virginia Tech.
