MARTINSVILLE, Va. It's officially race weekend at Martinsville Speedway, and before the Cup drivers took over the paperclip on Sunday, the Truck Series warmed up the half-mile track Saturday afternoon.
Noah Gragson, 19 years old, passed 41-year-old Matt Crafton with ten laps to go, to win his first career race.
"This is awesome, not only for myself, but for my team," said Gragson. "This is the first one, and I'm just so pumped up. It's an honor to race here in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and to do it with Switch on board, and to do it with Kyle Busch Motorsports, I've had the monkey on my back all year. I've been asked pretty much every single day, when am I going to get that first win, and we got it! We got that first win, and I'm so pumped up. So just so very thankful for the opportunity. Everybody who's brought me up throughout the race, and it's got me to this point. To be able to come out here and prove our talents means the world to me."
