Hokies excited to "go against somebody else"

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) It's certainly a brand new season with new challenges for Justin Fuente and the Hokies. But after putting in plenty of work throughout the spring and the summer, and throughout fall camp, the team says they are ready as can be, when it comes to kicking off the season against West Virginia.

Senior Wide Receiver, Cam Phillips, said. "I'm really excited. More excited to see how our young guys can respond, you know, take their first game under the bright lights, the big stage, a national stage. I'm excited to see how those guys respond. I think they'll do well because of the progress that they've shown."

"We're out of camp, it's finally game week, your legs are back feeling better, you're excited, you're ready to go against somebody else," said Redshirt Freshman Quarterback, Josh Jackson. "As a team, we're coming together completely, and we're just really looking forward to go compete together."
