Late Model Drivers Test At Martinsville

Next week, Martinsville Speedway will host the ValleyStar Credit Union 300-- the biggest Late Model race of the year.
Thursday the track held a test day for drivers ahead of next Sunday's event. There was a morning session before lunch and then drivers got back out to turn some more laps in the afternoon.
This year's race has a new format with two competition cautions in the 200-lap feature race-- one for fuel only at lap 100, and then tire changes and other adjustments will be allowed at the second caution at lap 175. It should make for some exciting racing down the stretch for that grandfather clock and the $25-thousand-dollar prize.
