Millbrook at Salem

SALEM, Va. (WDBJ7) In Salem Friday night, the Spartans hosted Millbrook in 4A West. Perhaps no other team has owned the postseason like the Spartans who have won 36 postseason games since 1999.

Stephen Magenbauer's team was looking refreshed following an off week.

Early on, the Spartans gave it to Kionte Burnette. He turned the corner around the edge and then scooted 45 yards to the house for the game's first score and it was 7-0 Salem on just three plays.

Then, on defense, Riley Fox is able to break through and make a tackle for loss, part of a big night for Fox.

Spartans were back on offense where Noah Beckley looked downfield and found Viante Tucker on a 41-yard touchdown connection and it was 14-0 Spartans.

Millbrook got on the board, but then it was back to the ground game. Luke Owen churned out a hard earned 15-yard gain to move the sticks.

Salem cruises into next week with a 59-14 win.
