Top 7 Plays of the Week: December 3

#7: Virginia Tech on the road at Ole Miss on Saturday, in overtime. Look how far back Justin Robinson is. That is Steph Curry range. The three gives the Hokies the lead, and Tech wins it 83-80 in OT.

#6: Here's a little love for the UVA basketball team, and Nigel Johnson was spreading the love all around. Check out the passing. Johnson would finish with 8 assists in the 75-54 win over Lehigh.

#5: State Semifinal Saturday yesterday. Appomattox on the road at Union, and check out the pass from Javon Scruggs to De'Von Graves. Just drops it right in there. That sets up a touchdown, as the Raiders get the win, 23-20.

#4: Galax taking on Chilhowie, and Caxton Vaught was trying to get the Maroon Tide rolling. He'll stiff-arm two defenders on the way to the 70-yard touchdown run. But Galax would fall in the end, 25-21.

#3: And he's in the Top 7 again. Salem's De'Angelo Ramsey, on the first play from scrimmage, looks to be swallowed up. But no sir, he keeps his feet, taking it 66 yards for the score. Salem rolls past Sherando, 49-14.

#2: Grayson Overstreet. Not just a great play. But a great high school career. He wrapped up his time in a Staunton River uniform yesterday, with more than 9,000 rushing yards, 142 touchdowns, and 950 points scored. All VHSL state records.

#1: Elijah Davis and the Heritage Pioneers were able to take down the Golden Eagles. This 75-yard touchdown run was one of five on the day for Davis, who had 396 yards rushing. Davis and the Pioneers are onto the Class 3 state championship, with the 49-35 victory.
