Trucks Series Driver, Rhodes, Looking Forward to Martinsville

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) The countdown to race weekend at Martinsville Speedway is on. And as always, the track will get a nice warm-up ahead of the Cup Race next Sunday, with the Camping World Truck Series on Saturday.

Up-and-coming driver, 19-year-old, Ben Rhodes, got his first career start in the Truck Series at Martinsville in 2014.

This past spring, Rhodes in the number 41-truck, won the pole, but a wreck late in the race took him out of contention. But he's ready to seal the deal this time around.

"Unfortunately, in that race, we led the first 40-something laps," said Rhodes. "Came in for a pit-stop, came out ninth. So from that point forward, we were just in a dogfight getting up to the pack. With 10-20 laps to go, we ended up getting collected with someone's wreck underneath us. Martinsville is such an awesome track, and really goes well with my background. I come from the short-track brackground. Having the experience there, going back to the Texas Roadhouse 200 this year, is going to bring so much value to our race team. We have a really good setup, a really good team behind us, and we're looking for the win this year."
