Virginia grabs top spot in AP poll

Despite its loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday, Virginia grabbed the top spot int the newest AP College Basketball poll Monday. The Wahoos haven't been ranked number one since 1982 when Ralph Sampson was still a Cavalier.

Virginia is the first team in the AP Poll era since 1948, to move up to the No. 1 ranking after losing following the previous week's poll release.
Virginia is actually third in the Coaches Poll this week. The Hoos face Miami on the road Tuesday night.
