( Submitted photo ) Allegany College of Maryland graduated 398 students in recent 49th commencement exercises. Two ceremonies were held on the Cumberland campus. In the morning ceremony, for career and transfer program graduates, two students gave the commencement address. Seated, they are Windi Kretchman, Meyersdale, an education major, (third from left) and Katie Magruder, a psychology major, (third from right). Also seated, from left, are: Dr. Cynthia Bambara, ACM president; David Bohnert, assistant professor of English and speech, who introduced Kretchman; Kurt Hoffman, assistant professor of psychology, who introduced Magruder; and Dr. Heather Perfetti, ACM vice president of instructional affairs. Standing, also from left, are: Kim Leonard, Board of Trustees chair; Gary Shaffer, ACM emeritus professor; and James Ortiz and Barry Ronan, both ACM trustees. |
