Kanye vs. Gretchen Wilson (2004)
While T.Swift was still turning in her algebra homework, West was already throwing tantrums at awards shows. At the American Music Awards in 2004, West infamously stormed out of the show after losing Best New Artist to country newcomer Gretchen Wilson. He insisted, "I was the best new artist this year. I'm carrying the whole state of music."
