Scene at SXSW 2011
Mel Gibson's new dark comedy "The Beaver," about a troubled man who turns to a puppet as his sole means of communicating with his wife, family and coworkers, opened at SXSW Wednesday night in Austin. His costars, like Jodie Foster, who also directed the film, hit the red carpet while Gibson stayed in Los Angeles, where he was fingerprinted and booked in connection with his misdemeanor battery conviction.
