Teams travelled to Cochin, India for this part of the race. Everyone searched at Sacred Heart College for their next clue. Once there, teams encountered a roadblock. To complete this roadblock, one team member must complete a Bollywood routine to the director’s satisfaction. Both Rachels gladly took on this challenge. Art made JJ attempt this task because Art did the wine bottle dance before so it was JJ turn to embarrass himself with a dance.
This Bollywood task was tailored for Big Brother Rachel. Sequin, green, and shiny; her outfits are perfectly matched for this task. However, It was the other Rachel that came on top with the choreography and aced every team on how to perform. Rachel and Dave were the first to finish this roadblock and went on to the detour.
Each team has a choice of ‘Cricket’ or ‘clutch it’ for the detour. In Cricket, duos has to hit a ball far enough in the boundary zone. In clutch it, duos has to operate an Indian style 3-tire taxi around an obstacle course. Rachel and Dave chose to do clutch it. Driving with ease, this married couple breezed through the task and won their 5th first place finish.
Typically in promos, when editors promote a shocking action, the opposite comes true. All week-long, the editors showed the struggles of Mark on the roadblock. This made me think that they are actually safe from elimination. Well, the editors almost fooled me.
Mark really had a hard time on this Bollywood routine. He did it over 10 times before almost quitting. Every team, by now, has crossed the pit stop; and Mark is still trying to get approval from the Bollywood director with no luck. Tears flooded, and I’m not talking about my eyes, when Bopper tried to cheer up a frustrated Mark. Mark would rather die of heat stroke on that Bollywood stage than give up the race for his family and friend.
This leg was a fortunately a non-elimination leg. Mark and Bopper are still in the race for a million dollars.
