The tribes merged and everyone has allegiances to different people. To understand everyone’s thought process on the merge, we have to dissect everyone’s allegiance. Bare with me while I try to simplify.
There are 12 people left, 6 women and 6 men.
That means in the original Manono tribe there is Jay, Mike, Troyzan, Tarzan, Leif, and Jonas. However, in the Manono tribe there were two sub divisions, the Alpha males and the Outcasts. Colton was leader of the Outcasts (very important information).
Now in the original Salani tribe there is an alliance of Sabrina, Kim, Chelsea, Kat, and Alicia with Christina on the outs.
A couple of episodes ago, Probst switched tribes resulting in Sabrina, Kim, Chelsea, Kat, Troyzan, Jay, and Mike on one tribe. This leaves Tarzan, Jonas, Leif, Alicia and Christina on the other tribe.

Original Salani: Christina, Kim, Sabrina, Chelsea, Kat, and Alicia
Sub Alliance: Kim, Sabrina, Chelsea, Kat, and Alicia
Original Manono: Leif, Jonas, Tarzan, Troyzan, Mike, and Jay

New Salani: Sabrina, Kim, Chelsea, Kat, Mike, Jay, Troyzan
New Manono: Leif, Jonas, Tarzan, Alicia, and Christina
It seems that most tribe mates were going to stick with their new tribes instead of their old. However, Jonas and Tarzan wanted the Original Manono to come together to take out the women. In doing this, Tarzan, without talking to Jonas first, went to Mike to try to sway him to the men’s side. This caused a Jonas vs Tarzan argument because Mike is the least loyal out of the men. If Mike wanted, he could easily tell the New Salani tribe about the Original Manono’s tribe secrets and the men would be in big trouble. Fun Fact: According to Colton’s interviews from this past week, Colton was closest to Jay. Colton was the glue between the two sub alliances on the Original Manono tribe. Now that the glue is gone, both alliances have doubts about one another.
During the reward challenge everyone split into two teams at random. One person at a time has to dig under a bar, crawl under planks of wood, then dig out a bag of puzzle pieces and bring it back. Once all the bags are brought back, two members finish the puzzle. This challenge was most likely the immunity challenge that never happened because of Colton’s medical evacuation. Sabrina, Alicia, Troyzan, Chelsea, Christina, and Jay won the reward of ice-cold beers and pizzas. Also, a clue told the winning tribe that a hidden immunity idol is back at camp.
Back at camp, Tarzan and Jonas are not on speaking terms. The men’s tribe is fractured and it needs a leader (cough cough Colton) to organize them. People gave Colton a lot of flak for his actions on Survivor; however, he was good at leading the men so everyone was on the same page.
The immunity challenge tested one’s balance skills. Holding a plate, each contestant had to balance a ball on top not letting it fall. To make the challenge harder, everyone had to balance on a perch. The last two were Troyzan and Kat. It is surprising to see Kat do so well at this challenge. Troyzan eventually won and he earned the first individual immunity of the season.
At tribal, Jonas knew everyone was gunning for him. Jonas pleaded to his tribe that he is a food provider and it will be silly to vote out the person that cooks for you. He also said that they shouldn’t think of him as a threat especially when Mike is still in the game. Tarzan outbursts and claims Jonas is a liar and he was going to vote out Jonas. In the end, Jonas was the first person voted out the merged tribe and became the first member of the jury.
The women’s alliance is now in control. It is 6 vs 5. If the women alliance wants to reform and break off from New Salani then they have the numbers. However, if New Salani wants to eliminate New Manono then they have the numbers too. The next person voted out dictates how this season unravels. I would say Kim, Chelsea, Sabrina, and Kat have their choice in paths to take but Troyzan found the hidden immunity idol and he can ruin any of their plans. We shall see.
